New England Eyewear is a full-service optical shop, located within New England Eye Center, on the 11th floor of the Tufts Biewend Building.
The Optical Shop has a large selection of traditional and designer frames, including designers such as Silhouette, Ray- Ban, Michael Kors, and Tory Burch. Our featured childrens’ frames are Miraflex, an extremely durable and stylish line that is sure to please little ones and their parents. For sun protection, we also have a wide selection of sunglasses which include the well- known brands Ray Ban and Maui Jim.
New England Eyewear is not a large chain. Our opticians have 70 years of combined optical experience. Lisa O’Connell, RDO, Linda Whaley, RDO, and Tammi Vitale, RDO are all members of the Opticians Association of Massachusetts.
We work closely with New England Eye Center doctors. As a result, we have many years of experience fitting difficult prescriptions and no-line bifocals. We pride ourselves on offering personalized service to each patient, taking the time to explain and address any concerns or questions you may have. We are confident that we can exceed your expectations, making sure that you are seeing and looking your best!
Thank you for choosing New England Eyewear to take care of your optical needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!
All frames and lenses purchased at New England Eyewear are warranted for one year from date of purchase against manufacturer defects. In the event of a manufacturer defect, at its discretion, New England Eyewear will either repair or replace defective frames and lenses, at no additional charge. Accidental damage or loss is NOT covered by warranty (this includes but is not limited to: misuse causing lens or lens coating scratches; pet-inflicted damage; destruction or damage by vehicle or other machines; dropping, stepping on, or sitting on the glasses; damage from chemicals including cooking oil, beauty products or glue; exposure to extreme weather conditions; or any other damage not considered a manufacturing defect).
New England Eyewear will accept returns of prescription eyeglass frames and lenses within 30 days of the date of purchase. All returned items must be in like new condition. Frames will be refunded at the cost of the frame, and lenses will be refunded at 50% due to the custom nature of the prescription. Non prescription items, including but not limited to sunglasses, cords, and eye masks, are not eligible for return.
New England Eyewear recognizes that some patients require time to adapt to progressive lenses. Should you have questions or concerns with respect to the proper use of your new progressive lenses, please contact us. We will be pleased to answer any questions regarding the adaptation process. In the unlikely event that a patient is unable to adapt to progressive lenses within 60 days of the purchase date, we are happy to replace the progressive lenses at no additional charge, with single-vision or lined-bifocal lenses in the same frame. Due to the cost of custom prescriptions, we are unable to provide refunds for any price differences.
In the event that a doctor changes a patient’s prescription within 90 days from the original date of the exam, New England Eyewear will replace lenses one time, at no additional charge.
Unopened boxes of contact lenses may be returned within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund. Opened boxes are not eligible for return.
New England Eyewear will clean and perform minor adjustments and repairs at no charge for glasses purchased at New England Eyewear. A small fee may be incurred for repairs if the eyewear was purchased elsewhere.
