Lecturer in Ophthalmology, Tufts University School of MedicineDr. Blocker has devoted his professional life to the care of children and special needs patients. He was the director of the Ophthalmology Program at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center for Mental Retardation from its inception until 1978. He also serves as the Director of the Ophthalmology Service at the Franciscan Hospital for Children (since 1990).
Dr. Blocker is active in the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He was given the Honor Award for service. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He also is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics where he serves on the executive board for the subsection in Ophthalmology.
