Laser Skin Resurfacing

A new technology called laser skin resurfacing allows physicians and patients to reach the elusive goal of skin rejuvenation. Nearly every patient with wrinkles, lines, sun damage or "tired" appearing skin may benefit from this procedure. Unlike dermabrasion and chemical peels, the laser uses a very high-energy beam of light to vaporize and eliminate blemishes.

Sun damaged, aging skin is carefully and precisely removed layer by layer. The laser treatment is customized not only to each patient but to each area of the face. For example, the thinner more delicate skin of the eyelids requires different and more sensitive treatment than does the thicker skin of the cheeks, upper lip, or forehead.

Laser skin resurfacing is a safe procedure that carries a low risk when performed by an exPerience surgeon.

Who is a Good Candidate for Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Nearly every patient with wrinkles, lines, sun-damaged, or "tired" appearing skin may benefit from laser resurfacing. There are no age or sex restrictions. While one's general health should be good, well-controlled problems such as diabetes or high blood pressure do not interfere with the treatment or recovery.
