Liposuction

The tumescent technique has revolutionized the art of body contouring. A combination of saline solution, local anesthesia and adrenaline is infused into the areas of fat. Small instruments called cannulas are attached to a suction machine and then passed through small incisions to remove the fat deposits. This technique allows safe removal of unwanted fat that will not go away with dieting and exercise. The best candidates are those that are slightly or moderately overweight with distinct areas of localized fat.

Microdermabrasion

Commonly referred to as the 'power peel,' microdermabrasion is performed with a machine that uses air and fine particles to gently 'sand' the surface of the skin. Revitalization of the skin is fullest when a series of 6 treatments is given at 1-2 week intervals. This is truly a 'lunchtime' procedure, with patients exPeriencing only slight redness after the treatment.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are wavy, thin, superficial veins that appear as a normal part of aging and are most noticeable on the face and legs. A new laser is now available that can virtually erase many of these veins by delivering light energy to seal the veins shut. A chilled tip cools the skin during the treatment, enhancing patient comfort and allowing many patients to be treated without the need for anesthesia. Most patients need between one and three 30-minute session to achieve a successful result.
