Astrid C. Werner, MD is a member of the New England Eye Center’s Glaucoma and Cataract Service, and director of the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Department. Board-certified in ophthalmology, Dr. Werner completed her ophthalmology residency at the Tufts New England Eye Center followed by a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.
Prior to residency, Dr. Werner attended medical school at the Tufts University School of Medicine followed by an internship in the Internal Medicine Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She is originally from New Jersey and completed her undergraduate studies at Princeton University.
Dr. Werner’s clinical interests include adult and adolescent glaucoma care, the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and cataract surgery.
She will be seeing patients at the New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA, and at our office in Wellesley, MA.
