Dr. Marisa Tieger is an experienced vitreoretinal surgeon and clinician, and also serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine. In her practice, she focuses on both medical and surgical retinal pathology. Dr. Tieger attended Tufts University School of Medicine and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Following medical school, Dr. Tieger completed her ophthalmology residency at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, where she also held the prestigious honor of serving as Chief Resident and Director of the Ocular Trauma Service. She remained at MEE to complete her Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship, and during her tenure, was awarded the Madden Fellowship. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Tieger earned her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University where she was also a member of the Division 1 Syracuse Women’s Basketball team.

Clinical outcomes in ocular trauma, endophthalmitis and central serous chorioretinopathy.
